How to Make a Mini-Bow and Arrows

Make this mini-bow and arrow set in the office or during a boring day at school. Just be careful and not get caught shooting it.

Things You'll Need

• Ruler
• Rubber band
• Paper clips

Instructions

1. Take a rubber band and wrap it lengthwise around a regular-size ruler.

2. Unfold a paper clip until it is one piece of long metal, but leave a hook on only one end. Make it as straight as you possibly can. If you need to, you can use a pair of pliers to assist you.

3. Bend the ruler slightly and pull back the rubber band a couple of inches. Use some heavy duty tape on each end of the ruler to hold the rubber band in place if it keeps slipping off as you shoot.

4. Hook the paperclip onto the rubber band and pull the band back. The farther back you pull the rubber band, the farther the paperclip will shoot.

5. Aim at the target you wish to hit.

6. Release the paperclip and let it fly. Since it is hooked at one end it is less dangerous if you accidentally hit someone with your paper clip arrow.

Tips & Warnings

• The straighter you make your paper clip arrow, the straighter it will fly.

• Never aim the paper clip at a person, especially not at a delicate area such as the face.

• Be careful not to get caught making and/or shooting the mini-bow and arrow at school.

• It is probably not a good idea to shoot your bow and arrows in the classroom, or risk getting caught.
