1
Find some strong rubber bands, the strongest you can find. They will allow you to fire your peg gun the farthest.
-
2
Get a piece of wood that is fairly strong and able to withstand the pressure of having a strong rubber band pulled against it. This piece of wood will make the peg gun's body. The wood should be longer than the length of the gun when stretched.

3
Nail a nail into one end of the wood when you're making a peg gun.
-
4
Pick up one of the rubber bands and loop it around the nail. Pull on the rubber band and stretch it back as far as you can. Mark where the rubber band hits on the piece of wood with a pencil.
-
5
Place a clothes pin on the piece of wood, and line it up so that the hole in the spring lines up with the mark you made on the wood. Put a nail through the hole in the clothes pin's spring and into the mark you made on the wood.
-
6
Loop one end of the rubber band around the nail at the front of the piece of wood. Pull the rubber band back and clip it in the clothes pin.
-
7
Aim your peg gun by pivoting it side to side on the piece of wood. Fire your peg gun by opening the clothes pin.
