There are times when talking to someone in person is too nerve wracking. The alternative, of course, is to take the talking online. Talking to a guy or girl on MSN Messenger can hrlp you say things you would be too shy to say in person. That can enable you to try to get the guy or girl you want.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find out whether the guy or girl uses MSN Messenger. You can ask the person's friends, or you can ask the person you're interested in. It might be easier if you phrase it as a casual question. Start out by talking about Messenger and your experiences with it, then ask if the person has ever used it. Then, get her email address so that you can contact her.

  2. Step 2

Start with a few casual conversations to get the person thinking about you. Any girl or guy will be more interested in a relationship with someone that he already knows he has something in common with. Talk about things you know that both of you like.

  3. Step 3

Get into deeper and deeper conversations. Start talking about the things that really matter to both of you. This builds some trust and makes a relationship more likely. But don't do all of the talking. Ask plenty of questions so that the person will talk about herself. No one will want to talk to someone who simply goes on and on about himself.

  4. Step 4

Make a move. Let the person know that there is a movie you want to see or a local place you've always wanted to visit. Work it until you either get the invite or you have the courage to do the inviting.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure that you know who someone is when you talk to him on MSN Messenger. If a stranger contacts you and wants to chat, it's much safer to say no.
