Having great looking arms requires a commitment to exercise. Our arms tend to get flabby as we age, even if we maintain a healthy diet, so keeping those muscles firm and toned is essential.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Balanced diet
  • Cardiovascular exercise
  • Free weights
  • Home gym
  • Exfoliating scrub
  • Loofah brush
  • Self-tanning cream
  • Body hair waxing kit
  • Body hair bleaching kit

Step1
Eat a well-balanced, low-fat diet and get regular cardiovascular exercise at least 3 to 4 times a week to burn off body fat. The fewer calories and fat you consume, the less fat accumulates on your body and specifically, your arms. Choose cardio exercises like swimming or Pilates that both work your entire body and make your arms look great.
Step2
Perform triceps kickbacks at least three times a week. Triceps kickbacks help tone the back of the arm which is usually the flabbiest. Stand up straight with your arms down by your sides, holding your free weights. Lean forward and bend your elbows, bringing your weights up to your shoulders. Extend your arm all the way back in line with your upper body. Start out with 3 sets of 10 repetitions and increase the amount of reps and weight gradually.
Step3
Work the other muscles of your arms by doing push-ups and pull-ups. You can do push-ups anywhere as they require only the resistance of your body weight. You can do pull-ups in a home gym with the right equipment or even at a park on the monkey bars. Other exercises for your arms include bicep curls and arm lifts above your head and out to your sides.
Step4
Exfoliate your arms regularly with an exfoliating scrub and loofah brush. Removing the dead skin cells helps your arms look radiant and rids the area of any little bumps and imperfections.
Step5
Use self-tanning cream on your arms to give them some color. While tanning in the sun isn't good for you due to the risk of skin cancer, no one can deny that a good tan on your arms makes them look great.
Step6
Consider waxing your arms so that they are smooth and free from any hair. A smooth, hairless arm shows off your muscle definition better. If you don't like the sting or the maintenance that comes with waxing, bleach your arm hair if it is dark. This takes less time and you don't have to worry about hair re-growth.
