There is a way to write a computer diary that is private and that only you can have access to. Here are the steps to help you create a top-secret diary on your computer.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Turn the computer on and let it warm up. Next, go to applications and open Microsoft Word.

  2. Step 2

Click on Tools in the toolbox, then go down to Protect Document (Macintosh computer) or Options (PC computer). Type a password in the box and then click OK.

  3. Step 3

Select File and choose New Document. This will open your new document for you to begin your computer diary.

  4. Step 4

Design the look of your diary. Insert pictures, backgrounds or anything else you would like on your pages. Format your diary. Set the font, the type size and the color of the font.

  5. Step 5

Write your diary. Be sure to date each time you write in your diary and be sure to write what you think and what you want say to yourself.

  6. Step 6

Save your work using a weird name. If you use "Diary" then anyone using the computer will see it and then try to read it. Using a weird name, people will most likely avoid looking at it. Write in your computer diary every day, week, or as often as you feel the need.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the password you choose is something you can remember but is not easy enough that someone else might think of.
  • Always try to use proper grammar. Keeping a diary is a great way to practice your writing skills.
  • Before closing your document, change the type color to white so others cannot see it. That way, if someone does figure out your password, they cannot see what you wrote unless they are smart enough to change the type color. Just remember to change it back to whatever color you want when you visit your diary.
