If you have a habit of losing your guitar picks on a regular basis, you can make plenty so that you always have one on hand. These guitar picks will only cost you the price of a piece of sturdy cardboard.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cardboard
  • Guitar Pick
  • Small sharp knife
  • Packing tape
  • Paint, markers or crayons
  1. Step 1

Find a good quality, stiff, thick cardboard to make your guitar picks out of.

  2. Step 2

Trace around a guitar pick onto the cardboard with a pen or pencil. Trace as many picks onto the board as you want to make.

  3. Step 3

Cut out the shapes from the cardboard carefully with a small sharp knife. Discard the shape if you accidentally cut the shape incorrectly or cut into the guitar pick.

  4. Step 4

Color, paint pictures or draw designs or patterns onto your new guitar picks or leave them just as they are. Make sure to decorate both sides of the guitar pick.

  5. Step 5

Place a piece of sturdy, clear packing tape over one side of the pick, making sure that the tape covers the whole pick and goes past the edges.

  6. Step 6

Turn the guitar pick over and place another piece of tape on that side, again making sure to cover the whole pick and that the edges of the tape touch the edges of your first piece of tape.

  7. Step 7

Cut around the tape with the knife until the edges are smooth.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also make guitar picks out of old credit cards by tracing out the shapes.
  • Knife blades are very sharp and can be dangerous. Adults should supervise children who are making these guitar picks.
