1
Pull your hair into a ponytail. Making the bun will work best if you hair is high on your head or at least a medium height. If your hair is to short to gather all of it into a ponytail, use hair pins to pull your hair up and secure it as close to the ponytail as possible.

2
Take a 1-inch section at a time and hold it lightly in one hand. Wrap the hair around two fingers in your other hand until the entire length of your hair is curled. If you have a one inch barrel curling iron, you can loosely wrap your hair around the barrel to begin with so you get a feel for an approximate size.

3
Hold the curl tightly against your head and secure it with a hair pin. Re-do the curl if it's not the size you'd like until you're satisfied with the curl.

4
Continue repeating Steps 2 and 3 above until you've curled all the hair in your ponytail. This will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
-
5
Spray your hairstyle with a firm hold hairspray to hold your bun in place. If you have fine hair, you may want to spray each curl individually after you've secured it with a hair pin.

Tips & Warnings
If you would like to have your hairstyle last for more than one day, sleep with your hair pinned overnight and take them out in the morning for a full head of curls.
Turn your bun into a softer look by not pulling all your hair into the ponytail. Leave some hair around your ears, scalp and neck. Curl these with a curling iron and spray with hairspray.
