It's always a safe idea to have an emergency kit with you at school or in your locker just in case. As a girl, you need to be prepared for any situation that might arise when you least expect it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Travel bag or box
  • Tampons
  • Menstrual pads
  • Change of clothes
  • Travel size deodorant
  • Hair brush
  • Breath mints
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Lip balm
  • Mirror
  • Moisturizer
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Aspirin or ibuprofen
  • Bandages
  • Safety pins

Step1
Purchase a small travel-size bag that you can keep in your locker or backpack as the basis of your kit. You can also use a box with zip lock bags for different groups of items.
Step2
Keep a few emergency tampons and pads in your kit just in case your period comes at an unexpected time. A change of clothes for an unpredicted accident is a good idea.
Step3
Put personal hygiene items such as travel-size deodorant, a hair brush, breath mints, a toothbrush and toothpaste, lip balm, a mirror, moisturizer and hand sanitizer together. Throughout the day, you might want to freshen up with some of these products. Nail clippers and an emery board for those broken nails are always good to have on hand as well.
Step4
Add any medical items that you feel necessary. Keep aspirin or ibuprofen in your kit, and include bandages of a few different sizes just in case you cut yourself.
Step5
Keep safety pins in your kit, which are a good quick-fix for minor clothing rips or fallen hems. They can also keep shirts looking more modest if your top is gaping open at the buttons or if your bra straps keep slipping.
Step6
Think of any miscellaneous items you've ever needed. Extra money can always come in handy for that after school snack. Include extra pens or pencils for class in case you lose yours. Put a list of contact numbers in your kit for someone to call in case of an emergency.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a bag that's small enough to fit comfortably in your locker.
  • Ask the school nurse what the policy on carrying aspirin or ibuprofen. Some schools don't allow students to carry these and they may require a doctor's note in order to administer any medication, including aspirin or ibuprofen.
