Porn and the Internet go together like peanut butter and jelly. While it may be convenient to spend hours online looking at naked women, getting caught is never fun. If you you're going to look at porn, you need to learn how to keep from getting caught. Here are some things you can do on your own to make sure that your "recreational" surfing remains your little secret.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set up your computer in the right location. Location really is everything when you want to hide your porn habit. Set up the monitor so that a casual passerby can't see what you're looking at. It's even better if you can see people coming down the hallway before they have a chance to see what you're doing; that way, you can minimize the incriminating pictures before they get into the room.

  2. Step 2

Have an alibi. When you're browsing for hot photos, don't forget to have a couple windows open showing something respectable; spreadsheets or scientific websites are good choices. Then when someone walks in the room, you can maximize a spreadsheet and pretend to be deep in thought over your monthly budget.

  3. Step 3

Learn the power of Alt-Tab. This handy little key combination switches your screen to the last application window that you used, which can help in a pinch. Make sure to practice ahead of time, so you don't get caught looking for the Alt key.

  4. Step 4

Have a separate login account with a password that no one else knows. Trying to clean out your cookies and search history daily can be a real pain. If you have a separate account, you don't have to worry about hiding the incriminating evidence when someone comes nosing around your computer.
