In the world of skateboarding, you just aren't living if you're not improving. Mastering the kickflip, the frontside boardslide and even the backslide 180 aren't enough. If you're really good and are determined to show your skills to the world, combine the three for the crazy awesome kickflip frontside boardslide.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rail or flatbar
  1. Step 1

Locate a rail with a comfortable height for jumping. You can make a homemade flatbar or buy one from your local skate shop. Wax the rail so the slide isn't too slippery or offering too much resistance.

  2. Step 2

Roll toward the rail like you would for a frontside boardslide.

  3. Step 3

Pop the kickflip when you reach the rail, turn 90 degrees, catch the board and hit the rail. Basically, you're letting the rail interrupt a backslide 180. Make sure your shoulders are parallel to the rail.

  4. Step 4

Rest your feet snugly on the board so that you can keep your balance when you hit the rail. Be careful; if you lean forward more than you should when you hit, your board might shoot out behind you.

  5. Step 5

Slide all the way to the end.

  6. Step 6

Look back over your shoulder when you reach the end of the rail to avoid falling forward and landing on your forehead when you finish sliding. Once you hit the end, land the board and ride away into the annals of skateboarding greatness.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have your own rail, establish it in a grassy area when you first begin practicing. Although your landing will be a little off, you will have a much nicer cushion for your falls.
  • Only attempt this trick after you've fully mastered frontside boardslides, kickflips and backside flips. Some skateboarding experts recommend that you practice these basics for a few years before moving on to the kickflip frontside boardslide to protect the possibility of your having future generations.
