Inline skating, also known as rollerblading, offers you a great workout while giving you the chance to perform tons of cool tricks. Although there are world-class skaters who do 900-degree spins and backflips off of ramps, there are many simpler tricks you can try on your own, even if you're a beginner. The bicycle move is one such trick, and it doesn't take more than few minutes to learn.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a clear, flat area to rollerblade. Smooth surfaces like concrete and asphalt work better than dirt or sand. Also, make sure there are no cars or pedestrians you might collide with while skating.

  2. Step 2

Stand up on your skates and get balanced. Then, roll your dominant foot forward and your other foot backward.

  3. Step 3

Balance on the back wheel of your front skate and the front wheel of your rear skate. This is the bicycle move position.

  4. Step 4

Come out of the bicycle position and skate forward at a slow to moderate speed. The key is to only go as fast as you're comfortable with.

  5. Step 5

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to perform the bicycle move while rolling. Keep your legs nice and tense to prevent your rollerblades from wobbling around.

  6. Step 6

Pull your feet back together and center them beneath your body to complete the move. Then, continue skating.

Tips & Warnings
  • Find a nearby skating rink or skate park where you can practice the bicycle move. Their extra smooth skating surfaces make it easier for you to balance during the move.
  • Don't perform tricks on your inline skates without wearing proper safety gear.
