Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional makes it a breeze to navigate from one page to another in a PDF file. The "Pages" panel allows you to view page thumbnails of all the pages included in the PDF document and you can simply click on the thumbnail to quickly travel to that page. Follow the steps below to find out how you can view page thumbnails in Acrobat.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

Step1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open a PDF file that has more than one page as part of the document.

Click the "Pages" button on the very left side of the Acrobat screen. It is the top button and is depicted by two pieces of paper. Once clicked, it will display the "Pages" pane just to the right of the button.

Step4
Choose one of the page thumbnails in the "Pages" panel. This will take you to that page in the main document window.
Step5
Select the "Options" button from the top of the "Pages" pane and select "Reduce Page Thumbnails" to decrease the size of the page thumbnails or select "Enlarge Page Thumbnails" to increase the size of the page thumbnails.

Tips & Warnings

  • The red outline that appears on the page thumbnails in the "Pages" panel indicates the part of the document that is currently viewable in the main window. You can use the scroll bar to change the section of the current page that is displayed.
