A PDF can be created from multiple sources in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. This process takes a few steps and asks you to choose which files you want to combine into the PDF and then decide what type of file you would like to save them to. To create a PDF from multiple sources in Acrobat, follow the steps below.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

Step1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and select the "File" menu. Then point to "Create PDF" and click on "From Multiple Files" to open the "Combine Files" dialog box.
Step2
Click the "Add Files" button from the top of the "Combine Files" dialog box. The "Add Files" dialog box will now open.
Step3
Use the "Look in" drop-down menu to browse through your files and locate the first file that you want to include in the PDF document. Click to select it and click the "Add Files" button to close the "Add Files" dialog box and add the file to list in the "Combine Files" dialog box.
Step4
Continue using the "Add Files" button and the "Add Files" dialog box to add all of the PDF documents that you want to combine into one file. Each time you add a file it will be added to the list of files in the "Combine Files" dialog box.
Step5
Pick what file size and conversion setting you want to use by selecting one of the options at the bottom of the "Combine Files" dialog box. Click the "Next" button to move on to the next portion of the process.
Step6
Choose whether you want to merge files into a single PDF or into a PDF package by making a choice at the top of the next screen. Click the "Create" button to create your PDF document made up of multiple sources.
Step7
Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the "Combine Files" dialog box after the PDF has been created. From the "Save As" dialog box choose where you would like to save the new document and by what name. Click the "Save" button to save the PDF. The new PDF you created from multiple sources will open on your desktop and all dialog boxes will be closed.
