How to Edit ID3 Tags
For anyone who collects a large amount of mp3 songs from various sources, you know that the ID3 tags that are associated with them can get quite cluttered. You can easily remedy this issue with Audioshell (freeware) by editing the ID3 tags that you associate with each song, allowing you to categorize them in a way that best suits your personal music directory.

Download the freeware Audioshell program (see Resources). Then, install and save the program to an area on your computer where you will remember so you will be able to locate it later.

Choose the mp3 file that has the ID3 tags you want to edit. Right-click on the file with your mouse.

Select "Properties" on the drop down menu that appears.

Click on the "Audioshell Tag Editor" from the two new tabs that will have appeared when you selected "Properties."

Fill in each section to edit the ID3 tags the way you want them displayed. This is also where you would upload cover art for your mp3 if you choose this option.

Press "OK." You have now edited the mp3 file and the ID3 tags will display in the way you have changed it to.

Tips & Warnings
Audioshell also gives you the option to upload cover art for each mp3 file.
You can also add a comment in the "Audio Tag Editor" section to find songs more easily.
