How to Lose Weight Like Lily Allen

Singer Lilly Allen surprised the public when she announced she lost nearly 20 pounds in just six weeks. Allen publicly stated that she went from a size 12 to a size 8 and many people wanted to know how she did it. If you want to lose weight like Lilly Allen, keep reading to find out how.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to a hypnotherapist. Allen credits her weight loss to seeing London-based hypnotherapist Susan Hepburn. Allen stated that after seeing the hypnotist she would feel terrible if she didn't go to the gym.

  2. Step 2

    Work out at least three times a week. Allen completes a high intensity workout three times a week for 90 minutes each time. She begins her workout with 15 minutes on a stair climber, 10 minutes on a row machine, 45 minutes of weight training and finishes up with floor exercises such as push-ups.

  3. Step 3

    Cut down on your alcohol consumption. Lilly Allen told "People" magazine that before her weight loss that she was drinking too much alcohol and knew that it was unhealthy; she has since cut back on her drinking.

  4. Step 4

    Get rid of the junk food. Once filling up on fatty junk food such as potato chips, Allen now snacks on fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the day to keep her calories down and her body healthy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Reach for the water first. Allen learned from her hypnotherapist that hunger is often mistaken for thirst. Now, she reaches for a glass of water before she reaches for a fork. Do the same to lose weight like Lily Allen.
  • No scientific evidence exists that hypnotherapy actually works to lose weight.
