Do you dream of...... Less clutter? Enjoying your family? A less-stressed life? Knowing that not only does everything have a place, but knowing everything is in it's place? If one or all of these are dreams you long to have fulfilled, then stop longing and start calling a professional organizer today and achieve an organized lifestyle! Take your chaos and clutter and turn it into peace and organization. Statistics show that living in a disorganized state is really unhealthy. Why live stressed and unhealthy? Grab hold and obtain the "clean sheet" feeling today. You know the feeling when you crawl into bed and have clean sheets on the bed -- why not have that same warm and fuzzy feeling when you open your closet door or sit down in your office.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Recognize for whatever reason, you are powerless by yourself against the clutter. This is a painful step for some, but once you recognize your skill set is not organization, you are free to move on to conquer the clutter. How long have the piles in your spare bedroom been growing? Does your husband/wife/kids/ roommate find the clutter unsettling? Resolve to find help for your situation.
Step2
Look at local organizer web sites. See if they match your personality. Call several and have a phone conversation about your situation. Do not apologize for your clutter or minimize it. See how the organizer responds - if they express compassion and are knowledgeable about your particular circumstances. This is their opportunity to shine, give them a chance to tell you what they do best.
Step3
Surrounded by the clutter. Invite them to your space for a consultation. Be honest about your needs and see what solutions the organizer offers. In my case, Shelly Davis at http://www.considerit.org/ offered logical and practical methods for settling my clutter problem.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not lose hope. Once you set the goal of clearing clutter from your space, work on it day by day.
  • Work with your organizer. S/he is your best resource.
  • Your clutter did not appear in a day. It may take 2 to 5 days for an experienced organizer to reach your goals.
