This is a quick and easy dip that is a sure fire hit at any party. Looking for something a little fishy for your summer cookout? This can be served cold or hot and ingredients can be changed over to low fat for a diet recipe.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained and flaked
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can tiny shrimp, drained
  • 1/2 cup banana pepper rings, chopped
  • taco or shrimp sauce optional

Step1
Melt the cream cheese in a fondue pot. Gently fold in tomato, onion, garlic, crab, shrimp, and peppers.
Step2
If you would like to serve this as a cold recipe rather then cooking then start with a cream cheese base spread evenly through the bottom of a decorative dish. Top with remaining ingredients.
Step3
For a little zing add a layer of shrimp sauce or even taco sauce between the cream cheese and the loose ingredients.
Step4
Serve this dish surrounded by crackers for a quick and easy snack or appetizer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep the heat low on this one.
  • Always check guests for allergies.
