first I will tell u how to beat the PC in difficulty hardest.

what you have to do is to advance to the castle age as fast as you can(if you do it in 10 minutes or less is perfect)then you start to create your army.your army have to have at least three trebuchets and a variety of infantry ,archers, cavalry, siege weapons ,monks and some villagers.when you attack your enemy´s city start destroying it´s gates and afterwards build your own gates in his city, by doing this your opponent will be locked in it´s own city(this trick only works when you are against the PC not in multiplayer).

Finally you have to destroy the enemy buildings that hurt you or produce enemy soldiers, (like barracks , stables, castles or town centers) as fast as you can and then start building castles and barracks inside his city.doing all this things increases a lot your oportunities to beat the PC in any difficulty.Now to beat your opponent in a multiplayer game you have to advance to the castle age in 10-12 minutes and start building your special units(this works a lot better if your unique units have a bonus vs buildings or to other unique units).once you have a decent armyof unique units(60-80 units) make 3-4 trebuchets and attack your opponent.you will destroy him in matter of minutes.

on 4/1/2009 It's hard to beat a computer opponent to Castle playing on "hardest".I find that by not building walls and surrounding your town with castles full of archers, with knights to destroy any enemy siege weapons, can be an exciting defensive game. If the enemy attacks in force you retreat the knights to the castle walls and the opposing troops will follow into range of the archers. Britons Rule!!!
