How to Make An Object In a Photo Larger Using Photoshop

It's funny how difficult this one is for beginners to find in Photoshop's help menu. This is a very basic version of the technique and is by no means the end of what you can do. Photoshop can take months to learn.

Things You'll Need

• Adobe Photoshop
• digital photo

Instructions

1. How to make anything bigger in Photoshop. Ok, get your mind out of the gutter!
   Make a duplicate of the background copy.
   Enlarge the part of the photo containing the object you want to re-size in photoshop.

2. Use one of your selection tools to outline (pen) to outline the object. Once selected you will see the marching ants line around it.

3. Hit CTRL T to transform the object and then drag the box to the desired size. Notice if you go too bit it will get blurry.

4. Use the healing brush to fill and white spaces and blur tool to blur lines if needed.
   There is much more to this technique that you will find in books on Photoshop and in tutorials and college classes but this will get you started if all you want is a fun image.
