Looking for the right Day Care Center for your child can be challenging and stressful since you want the best for your child. This Article will show you how to find the right center and what to look for and who to trust.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Notebook
  • List of prospective day care Centers
  • Pen
  • Phone

Step1
The first thing you want to do to save time is call around first. Get as much detail as you possibly can for each one.
Step2
Ask them if they are accredited! This is most important. If they cannot say that they are accredited then you can cross this one off of your list. Some sort of accreditation is very important ensuring they are safe and reliable.
Step3
After comparing prices and which centers attract your interest, make an appointment to take a tour of each center with your child.
Step4
If you walk into a center and don't get the child friendly vibe, cross this one of the list. Usually your first instincts are right on that one.
Step5
When you walk in a center the staff should be very interested in you and your child and be very pleasant. If you do not get this vibe also cross this one on your list.
Step6
The center you should choose should be the one that gives you peace with the staff and the condition and set up of the center.
Step7
Most of the staff should be certified in CPR and first Aide.
Step8
Observe the center for a day with your child. Most centers should have an open door policy for you to observe for the day which allows your child to interact with the children and care givers. This will also influence your decision. If the center does not allow you to observe etc., then it's like they have something to hide so cross this center off of your list as well.
Step9
Find out if the staff is certified or has degrees or gets some sort of early childhood training. You don't want inexperienced people caring for your child.
Step10
Looking for the right center can be time consuming but it's worth it for the best quality child care for your child. You want to feel at ease when you're at work not worrying about your child.
