Things You'll Need:
- Fitness equipment.
-
Step 1
First ask yourself a question about your lifestyle and level of energy. This is the most important decision because you might be gung ho to get in shape and after a few sessions your equipment begins languish. You want to find equipment that will help you improve your level of conditioning for the physical activity that you enjoy. Perhaps equipment that strengthens upper & lower parts of body, such as tennis.
-
Step 2
What type of conditioning or fitness have you engaged in previously? Considering gym classes in high school, plus any step, spinning, aerobics and weightlifting classes which you enjoyed.
-
Step 3
What do you want to accomplish with your new equipment? Are you wanting to focus on your legs or backpacking or skiing? How much space can you dedicate to equipment in your home? Maybe a spare bedroom?
-
Step 4
TreadmillWhat is new? The new word in fitness is "Core" conditioning. It is fantastic and necessary for a good foundation. There are many balance products that are available for core development and stabilization exercises, such as new treadmills that offer low-impact running surfaces, elliptical machines with no impact, and recumbent cycles with a walk-through design and adjustable back rest.
