Step2
Decide what kind of night you want.
A movie night – in sweats, with popcorn, candy, and soda.
A spa night – make your own beauty masks, hair conditioner, astringent, etc. at a minimal cost.
A recession hair dyeing party is fun – BUT I’m not so picky with my hair. But $8 opposed to $70 for a dye job is a savings these days. Give each other pedicures!!!
A new recipe party – everyone make their own covered dish and be prepared to critique.
A coupon party – cut your coupons and share with your friends. The mother of kids can use those diaper coupons, the caretaker of an adult could use some Polident coupons. [There is a wonderful book called Shop, Save and Share by Ellie Kay that this concept is placed on.]
A learning party – do you knit well? Would your friends like to learn – here’s your chance to teach them. Do you write articles for ehow.com, show them how. Can you cut fruit into beautiful decorative pieces? Share your creativity.
Step3
Whatever you do – HAVE FUN. The folks who are your true friends won’t be fussing over how clean and perfect the house is. They won’t complain that your new dish is a tad salty. Or that your idea is lame. The key words in this article are FRIENDS and FUN. All the reasons you give for not doing this, they are keeping you from those relationships we all (as women) need.
