Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Computer
- Internet Connection
- Phone Book
- Telephone
Step1
Go to http://www.naturalhealers.com/. Look for a massage school in your area.
Step2
If you don't find one, or want to see if there are any additional ones, visit http://www.switchboard.com and type in "Massage Schools" and your location. You can also look in the phone book.
Step3
Call the massage school(s) that you find and ask about their program for student massages at a discount rate. Most massage schools offer discounted massages from students as they complete their training. You might have to wait a few weeks or so to book one, but it will be at a very reasonable cost.
Step4
The massage will be just like, or nearly just like any other professional massage. Students need to complete a certain number of massages before they graduate.
Step5
You might be required to feel out a form to rate the massage therapist. Be honest, as it will be very beneficial to him/her.
Step6
Enjoy your massage!

on 5/8/2008 That is great! I am so tempted, but I'll have to budget for it first. Thanks for the eHow!

on 4/30/2008 Great tips, there are also introductory offers that many independent massage therapists will offer or package deals. Thanks for the hints!

on 4/18/2008 This is a great idea! My sister went to massage school and that is when I found out about getting cheap massages from students! They are usually very good massages!

on 4/18/2008 A friend of mine is not yet licensed for foot massage and reflexology but she can do them for people, by donation only. We frequently have 'foot parties'.
