How to Remove Baked on Messes

Having baked on messes clinging for dear life to your bakeware or pans is nearly enough to convince you never to cook again. Take heart, it doesn't have to take any elbow grease at all to remove these messes!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Fabric Softener

Step1
Scrape what you can off your bakeware or pan. You don't want too much gooey gunk to wash off later...
Step2
Place fabric softener sheet inside your pan or bake ware. I prefer Bounce brand. I haven't found any brands that come close for this type of job!
Step3
Fill pan or bakeware with warm water.
Step4
Allow to sit this way overnight.
Step5
Drain water out of pan or bakeware.
Step6
Use the same fabric softener sheet to wipe out your baked or burned on mess. It will come out like butter.
Step7
Wash your pan or bakeware as you normally would.

Tips & Warnings

  • Used Bounce fabric sheets work just as well as the newer ones so this is a great way to recycle!
