Step1
Bake cupcakes in regular cupcake cups. You can use any flavor - choose one that makes you smile!
Next take the fondant out of it's box and cut it into 3 sections. Add 3 drops of blue to one section, 3 drops of green to another, and 3 drops of red to the last one.
After that, begin to knead the sections of fondant individually so that the color works completely through it. Then, roll the fondant out using you rolling pin - If it sticks, sprinkle a small amount of powdered sugar over it(later, you can wipe the powder off with a damp washcloth. Make sure you roll the fondant to about 1/8th of an inch thick.
Then, use a water glass to cut a circles into the blue fondant. You can spread some regular frosting on the top of each cooled cupcake and then put the blue circles on top of each one.
Extra: In the attached pic, I bought an embossing square from a hobby store and pressed it onto the blue fondant, leaving a design on each.
Step2
Next, cut leaf shapes into the green fondant using a knife. I then pressed the knife into the length of the leaf to make a center line.
Set these aside, and begin to cut out circles as long as your thumb in the pink fondant(these don't have to be perfect, but you want to smooth the edges with your fingers if you can.
Extra: You can also buy leaf and small round shaped cookie cutters at hobby shops.
Cut about 6-8 small pink circles for each cupcake you wish to decorate.
Next, roll one small pink circle up like a piece of paper to create the center of the rose. Then, press pink circles around the first rolled one so that they spray outward and are pinched together at the bottom to make rose petals. The more petals you add - the bigger the rose!
Step3
Last, cut off the bottom of the rose so that it will sit flat(you probably have a gob of extra fondant under the rose--take a look!). Then, take a toothpick and put it through the side of the leaf that will be hidden, and stick the rose right on top of that. Make sure that you don't press the rose on so far that the toothpick pokes out of it.
Next, break off half of the toothpick and stick your rose with leaf into a top side of the cupcake.
