Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Construction paper
- Money to purchased engrave item
- Printer to print on hearts
- Scissors to cut out hearts
- Computer to type text of hearts
Step1
I went to Things Remembered in the local mall and bought a small pewter musical box in the shape of two hearts.
Step2
I had them engrave our anniversary date in one heart, and our names in the other.
Step3
For the inside of the music box, I typed small notes about things that I love about my husband. I made sure there was enough room to cut between each one and have each item I love be in a heart that I hand-cut.
Step4
Next, I printed the items I love on construction paper and cut them each into small hearts that could fit into the box. You could also go to a nearby drug store or WalMart and purchase clear sticky paper that could be stuck to the colorful construction paper as an alternative.
Step5
When I picked up the pewter heart from being engraved, I dropped the hearts inside and snuck it into my husband's office at work for the next day. You may also consider putting it in a private box and handing it to one of his co-workers for delivery as well.
Step6
Make it your own!
If you are tight on money and can't afford to get something engraved for your special someone, simply make a table setting, dim the lights, and make it personal - your loved one will appreciate your creativity!
