How to Talk to God When You Are Feeling Unworthy
God listens to anyone who believes in him. In this case, religious denomination isn't important; as long as someone believes in God, he listens. Even people feeling great despair and unworthiness find comfort praying and cultivating their own personal relationship with God. If you need help beginning a prayer dialog, there are certain steps you can take.

1
Find a moment all to yourself when you experience no outside distractions. For some people this means early in the morning before the rest of the house wakes up, for others this means during lunch hour or on an evening walk. You don't need perfect quiet, just a sense of peace.
-
2
Talk out loud or in your head to God. God hears you even when you don't speak out loud. Thank him for all the blessings in your life. For example, thank him for your heath, your family, your job or anything else successful in your life.

3
Ask forgiveness for all of your recent faults or anything weighing heavily on your mind. Sometimes the feeling of unworthiness comes from a feeling of guilt. Confessing your sins and asking forgiveness helps ease some guilt.
-
4
Ask god to help you in areas of your life where you need some guidance or strength. After giving thanks and asking forgiveness, those feeling unworthy should ask for God's strength to lift them up and fill them with hope.
