Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Butterfly swords are an extension of empty hand combat. Review each and every empty hand form and all section of the wooden dummy.

  2. Step 2

    Practice with a more advanced student in the beginning stages. Receiving feedback will prevent the practitioner form developing bad habits.

  3. Step 3

    Practice with aluminum or plastic blades to build up your forearm and wrist usage.

  4. Step 4

    Changing grips produces a risk for dropping the knives or for an opponent to knock them out of your hands. Practice hand transitions often.
