A very successful way to quit that bad habit that has every smoker hackin' for answers!!I have used this technique myself and with many friends ,clients and aquaintences. SMOKE AND MIRRORS

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Chair,mirror,pillow,ashtray,cigarettes,lighter,candles,a beverage,and privacy!

Step1
Place a stool or chair facing an empty wall. While seated, hang a small mirror at eye level infront of yourself.Use a stand or lamp table or?on both sides of the mirror to place the lit candles/and a beverage upon. You may need to place a pillow upon the chair for added comfort. You may be seated for awhile.
Step2
Being alone during this exercise is preferred. Sit facing the mirror and take a long look at who you are ,and who you see yourself to be. Relax and DEEPLY stare into your reflection of your eyes. Put your vision of who you want to be strongly in your mind. You are looking at that person at that very instance!Smile!know that you are no longer a smoker!
Step3
Being able to communicate to yourself and to have eye contact is key to success. you are the only one that will ever decide to quit smoking and you can only do it for YOU, not for any other being! Now lite a cigarette and smoke it in the mirror.See the smoke enter your mouth, see it as you exhale. The image is not you smiling any longer. This is no longer the image you have of yourself. This is the image that others see.Not attractive at all!
Step4
Look closely at this person, take a drag("drag"very negative word!)Sit close to your image in the mirror as you slowly exhale. Is this the image you want the world to see? It's very simple from here! If the image disgusts you, watch yourself put out your last cigarette! If you don't see anything wrong with your image ,then you really are not ready to quit! What do you really want ? Only you know!

Tips & Warnings

  • This technique has been very successful for those that sincerely want nothing more than to rid themselves of the addiction of smoking! I personally have been tobacco free for 11 years,my ex-wife as well, and my close friend now for 6 years. We had NO more use for tobacco in our lives and we are very empowered by our choices. what else do you want to do with your life????
  • Be sure to read the warning's on the pack of cigarette's

on 5/15/2008 When it comes to quitting try whatever you think may work for you. I was actually a "closet smoker" for about a year! LOL! No one knew I still smoked and it ended up working for me. My last cigarette was in 1997. Thank you Jesus!! : ) 5 Stars ~!~
