Step 1
Use 1/4 cup carnauba wax, 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar and one cup linseed oil to make your own car wax. Melt the carnauba wax and stir in the linseed oil and vinegar. Let the mixture cool and then use it to wax the car to protect it from the elements.

Make your own windshield cleaner by dissolving one cup of water in three cups of white distilled vinegar. Pour this into the windshield washer reservoir. Make enough to fill the car's washer fluid reservoir. Clean off of the bugs on the windshield by wiping it down with vinegar to loosen the bugs and then washing it off with hot soapy water.

Shampoo the car carpets with a solution of 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar, 1/4 cup ammonia and one gallon water. Deodorize the carpet with baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda all over the carpet and leave it there for 15 to 30 minutes. Vacuum up the baking soda.

Step 4
Remove carpet stains and salt residue with a solution of 1/3 cup white distilled vinegar and 2/3 cup of water. Sponge the solution onto the stain and leave it on for 15 minutes, then blot the spot with a dry towel, starting from the outside of the stain inwards to prevent the stain from spreading.

Step 5
Wash the car windows with a solution of one cup white distilled vinegar and three cups water. Wipe off some of the excess solution, but leave the window damp to air dry. This is a great way to help prevent ice buildup and fogging.

Polish and condition the leather and vinyl parts of your car with linseed oil and vinegar. Bring the linseed oil to a boil and then let it cool down. Stir in one cup distilled white vinegar. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to polish the leather with the mixture. Buff the chrome to a high shine with a soft cloth and undiluted vinegar.

Scrub off stuck on grime from the car's floor mats with a solution of two cups of ammonia and one gallon of hot soapy water.

Step 8
Remove salt and grime from your car body by washing it off with a solution of one cup baking soda and a gallon of hot, soapy water. This solution will also help prevent rust. Pour undiluted vinegar onto decals, let soak for a few minutes then scrape off, repeating if necessary
