Have you been craving a special something but you're watching your weight? Wanting to find something sweet that will satisfy that sweet tooth of yours? Follow these simple and easy steps, and you will quickly find yourself biting into a nice, hot, mini apple pie-like dessert!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 Flour Tortilla
  • 4-5 teaspoons of applesauce.
  • 1 Tsp.Sugar (or equal)
  • 1 Tsp.Cinnimon
  • Microwave
  • Paper plate
  • 2 Tsp. Crunchy cereal. (corn Flakes works best)

Step1
Place your tortilla onto a paper plate.
Step2
Spoon out applesauce into the tortilla, and spread it gently. Try not to get the sauce too close to the edges of the tortilla.
Step3
Drizzle the cinnimon over the applesauce-covered torilla. Try to make the cinnimon as even as possible.
Step4
Now take your crunchy cereal and hold it all in your hand, shaping it a fist, and smash the cereal into smaller peices by squeezing your fist.
Step5
Now lightly drizzle the crushed cereal all over the layered tortilla. It should start to look like a dessert pizza.
Step6
To finish the layering off, sprinkle the sugar evenly over the entire torilla, just as you drizzled the cinnimon.
Step7
Now it is time to roll up your masterpeice. Start at any end of the circular tortilla and roll the torilla gently. Make sure you dont push down too hard on the torilla as your wrapping it up, because it could cause some spillage to form out the ends.
Step8
Now all you need to do is place your torilla plate into the microwave, and let it heat for about 10-15 seconds. The exact time all depends on your microwave and it's specific intensity, so use your best judgment as to how long it should take to make the filled tortilla warm.
Step9
Finally, once you have finished heating your snack in the microwave, carefully take it out and make sure it has cooled a bit before you eat it. You have now successfully made a mini low-cal apple pie snack! Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • These snacks are great and can be made differently using different fruits.
  • Substitute the applesauce with melted chocolate, caramel, or cherry filling as an alternative option for a delicious snack!
  • Be careful when using the microwave.
  • You may want to let the snack cool off a bit before eating it straight out of the microwave.
