Whether intentional or accidental, stickers sometimes get stuck to glass -- and stuck good. Some window manufacturers even ship windows with stubborn stickers attached to the glass, and it's up to you to get them off. Small objects like drinking glasses also frequently come with price tag stickers. Scraping with a blade or other object can scratch and permanently damage the glass, but there are other easy ways to remove stickers without harming the item. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Water
  • Vegetable or olive oil
  • Lubricant product such as Goo Gone
  • Glass cleaner
  • Dish detergent

Instructions

      Soak small items in a tub of water overnight. Pull the sticker off carefully, wash and dry with a clean towel.

      Apply a layer of vegetable or olive oil to the sticker and allow the oil to soak into the paper overnight, then remove and wash any remnants with glass cleaner or dish detergent and warm water.

      Spray or dab the sticker with a lubricant product such as Goo Gone. Allow the product to absorb according to package directions. Peel the sticker off and clean all remnants of the product thoroughly.
