Have a Non Conventional Date
Have a Non Conventional Date

Tired of the dinner and a movie date? Try some of these slightly more unique ideas. While not exactly romantic, they can sure be entertaining!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Money
  • Laundromat
  • Convenience Store
  • Thrift Shop
  1. Step 1

Go to a thrift store. Find the craziest, wackiest outfits you can find. Stop buy the costume jewelry on your way out and buy some over-the-top rings or earrings. Now take your dressed up selves out to a diner or if you are feeling overly bold, try a fancy restaurant.

  2. Step 2

Scour garage sales and even the garbage for a table or stool or piece of furniture that has seen better days. Take it home and nurse it back to health together. Whether it needs a new coat of paint or to be sanded and varnished or even turned into something else entirely. If it's beyond help maybe take of a piece and turn it into a collage.

  3. Step 3

Meet at the laundromat to do your clothes together. A simple afternoon of sipping coffee and discussing all of life problems on top of a spinning machine sounds like a good idea to me. Plus the chance of catching a glimpse of each other undies is always a turn on!

  4. Step 4

Take ten dollars each and go to your local convenience store. Buy the weirdest, most bizarre things you can. Be it temporary tattoos, markers, an off beat magazine or some kitty litter. Then spend the rest of the evening coming up with new and interesting ways to use these items.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have fun. Try new things. Find what you like to do together.

on 6/21/2008 Hee hee. My dating days are behind me, but maybe I'll take the wife out for one of these adventures. What we'll do with kitty litter remains to be seen, though. This is a fun, five star article.
