How to make an All Natural Cough/Cold Remedy

This all natural cold/cough remedy will clear you up in no time. All the ingredients are available at your local supermarket and because it is all natural it is even safe for kids. Nothing artificial and works great.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 bunch of radishes
  • 1 small/med red onion
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 8 lemons
  • 1 cup honey (more or less to taste)
  • air tight glass container
  • blender
  1. Step 1

    Clean and rinse radishes. Make sure to remove all dirt particles and green leaves. Cut off ends of each radish.

  2. Step 2

    Place cleaned radishes in a glass bowl and cover with water. Let soak for about 20 minutes. This will ensure that any missed dirt is removed and the radishes are completely clean.

  3. Step 3

    Peel onion and cut into quarters. Set aside.

  4. Step 4

    Peel head of garlic and make sure all the cloves are completed cleaned and that all the garlic skins are removed. You will have about 8-12 cloves in a small/med head of garlic.

  5. Step 5

    Juice the lemons. Make sure to remove any seeds. You will have about a cup of lemon juice. Don't worry if it's not quite one cup or if it is more than a cup.

  6. Step 6

    Once the radishes have soaked for 20 minutes, rinse one more time.

  7. Step 7

    In blender, add radishes, onions, garlic, lemon juice, and honey.
    You may cut radishes to make them easier to blend.

  8. Step 8

    Blend until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated/mixed together.

  9. Step 9

    Take 2 tablespoons, 3 times a day for 3 days.

    You may continue longer, but 3 days should be enough for help lessen your symptoms or clear them up completely.

  10. Step 10

    Refrigerate any unused remedy in a air tight, glass container.
    Remedy will keep for about 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator. Discard any unused remedy after this time.

Tips & Warnings
  • Radishes are suggested as an alternative to help with ailments such as whooping cough and coughs, among other ailments.
  • It is claimed that onions are effective against the common cold and have anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidant properties.
  • Garlic contains an antibiotic compound along with vitamin and minerals.
  • Honey has been used as a treatment for sore throats and coughs for centuries and according to recent research may in fact be more effective than most common medicines.
  • Do not take or give to children with known allergies to any of the ingredients.
  • Children under 2 years old should not consume honey.
  • Garlic and onions may be toxic to cats and dogs.
  • Please consult your doctor if you are on any medications. Some of the ingredients may interfere with certain types of medications.
  • This remedy is not a cure for the common cold or cough. Claimed or known properties of the ingredients may or may not help to lessen the severity and length of your cold and/or cough. Results will vary from person to person.
