Things You'll Need:
- Money for the car wash, usually quarters.
- Clothes that you don't mind getting wet.
- Slid proof shoes.
- Old towels for drying
-
Step 1
1. Pick out a safe, clean car wash.
2. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet, and non-skid shoes.
3. Roll up all windows and shut all doors on your vehicle.
4. Get your quarters ready.
5. Get the dry towels from your trunk. -
Step 2
Study the knob which you move around from soap, water, tires, degreaser, etc. We will use degreaser first using the spray nozzle, go to soap using the brush, and then to wax, using the spray nozzle again.
Get this procedure set in your mind, for time is of the essence, and we don't want to waste any quarter time. This is also a game of "Beat the Timer." -
Step 3
1.Place the control on degreaser. Spray the degreaser all over the car, before we begin, which will help with the washing. Move quickly.
2. Quickly switch the knob to soap, and grab the brush. Rub all surface areas of the car with the brush, including the tires.
3. Quickly switch the knob to wax. We will rinse the car with the wax, not water, which will save time and also finish the car washing with a nice wax job. -
Step 4
1. Take out your old towels and dry your vehicle.
2. Replace the now old wet towels in the truck for reuse on another day.
3. Drive your clean car into the sun.

on 2/10/2009 This is so timely for me. Here in the Northeast, my car is covered with road salt and grime. I need a carwash, and due to my budget, I need to do it myself. Thanks! I'll take my quarters and these directions with me.
