Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
A good camera bag provides protection for your digital camera as well as a convenient storage space. These digital camera accessories should be able to hold your camera, a set of backup batteries, extra storage media, and your camera’s cleaning equipment. More advanced photographers will want to select a slightly larger bag that can hold their filters, add-on lenses, and other accessories.
Step2
Extra batteries, a spare lens cap, and an additional memory card are great digital camera accessories to have on hand. Although today’s digital cameras have a much longer battery life than past models, you’ll still want to have extra batteries available as a backup plan. A lens cap is necessary to prevent your camera from becoming damaged. If you plan to take your camera on vacation or just won’t be able to download your photos on a regular basis, extra storage media can also be a valuable accessory.
Step3
One of the most overlooked digital camera accessories is a cleaning kit. You may not think you need to buy one right away, but it’s not worth the risk of missing the perfect shot because your lens was dirty. A cleaning kit is a small investment that can help you properly care for your digital camera. It should contain a micro fiber cloth for polishing your lens; wipes for removing oil, debris, dust, and fingerprints; and brushes or swabs to remove particles from the lens.
