Step 1
If you’re looking for legitimate survey sites, the quality of the site’s web design should be one obvious clue. Professional businesses now how important it is to hire a good designer. If the site is ugly and difficult to navigate, the company is probably less than legit.
-
Step 2
When you register with a survey site, you’ll be asked to provide information about your age, occupation, geographic location, and other demographic characteristics. If the company is legitimate, there should be a privacy policy to prevent your personal information from being sold or distributed without your consent. A good survey site will also have a policy against spamming survey participants.
-
Step 3
One final tip that also applies to a number of other work at home opportunities: see if the Better Business Bureau has any complaints on file regarding the company in question. One complaint doesn’t necessarily mean the company is a scam, but several similar complaints could indicate questionable business practices.

on 11/2/2009 Here is a comprehensive list of many legitimate, free, paying survey sites. I personally use all of these and get paid! By paying - I mean cash, paypal, gift certificates and prizes. NOT sweepstakes and entries into drawings. I feel like those are a waste of time since your chances of winning are so small that you are basically doing surveys for free.

on 9/24/2009 I think the most important thing to keep in mind is never pay to get paid. If sites promise you will make money by giving them money, beware!! I found a site that has links to some of the best paid survey sites. You can check it out here: http://legitimatepaidsurveysitesforyou.blogspot.com

on 5/15/2009 Most of the survey sites ask money to buy something from them first. does this means they are not legit? if all their claims are true, why not let the applicant work first after qualifying. thanks
