It's easy to create an html link! All you have to do is remember a simple formula.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Link
  • Where you want to post the link
  • Image (optional)
  1. Step 1

Make sure you have everything together; is the URL you want to link correct? Do you have somewhere to save your drafts, if necessary?

  2. Step 2

For text links, follow the illustrated guide.

  3. Step 3

For a little more explanation: You'll use the anchor tags and the href attribute, as shown in Step 2. ="link here" is where you plug in your URL - make sure you keep the equal sign and the quotation marks around the URL. There is no limit to the length of the text you can display; you could link an entire paragraph, if you wanted to.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you need help with HTML, don't be afraid to use a search engine!
  • Most forums don't use HTML, but they use BBCode, which required different tags. Make sure you preview your posts and e-mails.
  • eHow doesn't allow HTML in guides, so these will not work in your articles.
