Find the Hidden Mickeys at Disneyland

When Disneyland was being built, the designers started an inside joke by hiding Mickeys throughout the park, including on the rides. Eventually the joke leaked out and now hundreds of guest go in search of these hidden Mickeys. So where do you start?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy a ticket to one of the Disney resorts. This could be at any one of the main parks in Anaheim or Florida.

  2. Step 2

Look for the Mickey shape: one large circle with two smaller circles placed like ears. These could be anywhere: on walls, carved into the designs of rides and even in the hairdos of people on video screens.

  3. Step 3

See them easily. The Mickeys shouldn't take a lot of imagination to see. If you are stretching trying to see the Mickey in the wall or the gears or the mural, it might not be there after all.

  4. Step 4

Ask the ride attendants. They should know where the hidden Mickeys are and most are glad to share the information, or at least give a hint.

  5. Step 5

Make it a game. Try to see who can find the most Mickeys in a day.

  6. Step 6

Offer up the new discoveries on the Hidden Mickey website (see Resources) and official park spokesmen can confirm or deny your guesses.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember that the three circles should be in similar proportion to the typical Mickey Mouse silhouette.
