How to Save Pictures Sent to Me in Outlook Emails Not as Attachments

Simple instructions on how to save pictures sent to you in an email that aren't part of an attachment.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A computer and mouse.
  1. Step 1

    Scroll to the image and place your mouse pointer over it

  2. Step 2

    Right click on top of the image

  3. Step 3
    Save Picture As example
     
    Save Picture As example

    A menu will appear, select Save Picture As (refer to example image at left)

  4. Step 4

    A new window will pop up. Select the name of a folder or drive where you'd like to store your picture. (Select Desktop if you'd like it to be accessible on your computer's home screen.)

  5. Step 5

    You're done! The picture is now saved to your computer.

Tips & Warnings
  • This works for any kind of picture or image sent by email.
  • Once the image is saved to your computer, you no longer need to be in your email to access it.
