Are you tired of having flat hair that lacks volume? Here's how to add mega volume to your hair quickly and easily.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To get high volume hair, start by selecting a volumizing shampoo. You'll find dozens of these available at your local drugstore as well as salon outlets. You'll also want to invest in a root lifter to add additional volume at the roots of your hair and a hair spray that gives a firm hold.

  2. Step 2

Wash your hair with the volumizing shampoo you selected. If you have oily hair, you may want to shampoo the roots a second time to remove any oils that may weigh the hair down.

  3. Step 3

Lightly towel dry your hair and gently comb out any tangles. Spray root lifter into the roots of your hair while your hair is still damp.

  4. Step 4

After applying root lifter, flip your hair over your head and turn the blow dryer on high. Dry your hair over your head while lifting your hair in sections with your hands.

  5. Step 5

When your hair is almost dry, flip your hair back over your shoulders. Use a brush to lightly backcomb the hair at the roots to add volume and lift.

  6. Step 6

Spray the roots of your hair with a hair spray that gives a firm hold.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use large rollers to add additional volume to your hair after blow drying. Apply the rollers while your hair is still slightly damp and leave them in place for fifteen minutes.
