How to Host a Mother's Day Barbecue (BBQ)
Hosting your own Mother's Day Barbecue is a great way to celebrate with ALL of your family without having to run from one family to another.

Invite. A phone call is all you need, no written invites necessary. Invite all your family members. Don't leave anyone out who may want to celebrate with their mom or grandmother that will be invited.

Food. Ask all the non-mom's to bring a dish so that the mother's my sit back and enjoy the day. Don't forget to ask Grandpa to bring something!

Drinks. Be sure to have all the mom's favorite cocktails available in addition to all the usual beverages you would normally serve.

Decorations. Decorations should be very minimal and should really just include candles and flowers.

Gifts. Be sure to have a small gift for every mother attending the BBQ. Small potted plants make an excellent gift, However, consider buying a flat of flowers for each mom as Mother's Day is the perfect time for planting!

Arts and Crafts. An arts and crafts project will keep the kids busy so moms can relax. How about an arts an crafts project that they can each make for their moms to take home? Sun catchers make a great project and spring time gift!

Desert. Everyone makes room for desert on mother's day. Be sure to pick cakes, cookies and cupcakes in spring colors or themes. Think flowers and pastels.
