1
Write out pleasant memories you had with your mother on high-grade paper in her favorite color(s). Have any siblings or grandchildren do the same.
-
2
Fold the "memories" in a neat way, but closed enough so your mother will have to open them as if they were fortune cookies.
-
3
Decorate the jar as you wish, but use a pattern or material you know your mother enjoys.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to give yourself enough time to come up with all those memories
Use a variety of different colored paper
Be sure to attach a sweet gift tag explaining what the jar is.
A nice poem attached would be nice.
Don't allow small children to use a hot glue gun
Keep small beads away from tiny children and pets
Have an adult do the cutting of the paper slips
