ATM fee's don't seem fair, considerng the ATM's purpose was to save money by not needing tellers. Tellers were 'no fee', so why charge for something that's cheaper than a teller? Remember, we can be charged up to 30% interest for withdrawing $20.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Avoid ATM's that do not belong to your bank
Step2
# Grocery and drug stores will let you withdraw up to a couple hundred dollars when you make a purchase, even if all your buying is a pack of gum.
Step3
# Google for nearby locations of your bank by sending a SMS with the message of bank name zip code or city to googl (no 'e' at the end)
Step4
# Example: the message would say Bank of America 98001 and you would send it to googl

Tips & Warnings

  • It's easier to find a grocery or drug store than it is to find an ATM.
  • It is against Visa, MC and AMEX policies for stores to have minimum requirements or to charge a fee for using a debit card. Business can lose their contracts with the credit card company if they find out the business is breaking contract.
  • Avoid privately owned ATM's, the kind you find in liquor stores, those are extremely dangerous and can be used to steal your account and PIN.
  • Banks do not have limitations on what they can charge for ATM fees and will keep increasing the fees as long as people keep paying for it.
