  10. Step 10

    Windows/Linux Games

If you have an Intel-based Mac, you also have a few other options for
running Windows-based games right on your Mac.

    Boot Camp
Boot Camp is Apple software that allows you to 'dual boot' your Mac so that it switches between running Mac OS X and Windows. This is your
best option for running newer games with 3D graphics since there is no
    emulation involved.

You will need to upgrade to Leopard in order to use Boot Camp. For more information on setting up Boot Camp, go here

Parallels and VMWare allow you to run many version of Windows and/or
Linux within Mac OS X, which means you could potentially run hundreds of
    Windows/Linux games.

    Parallels 3 game compatibility
Although there is support for many Windows games, you will need a faster
hardware for newer, graphic intensive games. Check the Parallels forum
    for game compatibility.

Parallels and VMWare are not free and they require a Windows license.
