Step 1
Purchase a set of baby bodysuit extenders. These clever little strips of fabric have snaps on either end that snap onto the bottom of virtually any baby bodysuit, giving you the extra length you need to fit the bodysuit over your baby's cloth diaper.
-
Step 2
Dress your baby in clothes that are slightly larger than he needs. Larger sized clothes will give you more length and width to work with when dressing your baby.
-
Step 3
Stick with stretchy clothes and avoid denim, corduroy and other stiff fabrics. Your baby's clothes need to have some give so they'll comfortably stretch over a padded diaper.
-
Step 4
Avoid dressing your cloth-diapered baby in overalls as it's almost impossible for a cloth-diapered baby to bend at the waist or sit up easily when wearing overalls.
-
Step 5
Buy two-piece outfits such as shirts and pants sets. You'll find that your cloth-diapered baby can wear two-piece outfits much longer than bodysuits or other one-piece outfits because two-piece outfits don't require your baby to be a certain length (and cloth diapers certainly add to your baby's trunk length).
