How to Make Chocolate Modeling Clay

This fun edible clay can be used to decorate cakes, or just for your child to sculpt with. Have fun!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 10 ounces of chocolate (chopped chunks or chips)
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • Microwave
  • Bowl
  • Wax Paper
  • Spoon

Step1
Gather all ingredients and bowl, spoon and wax paper.
Step2
Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute.
Step3
Stir. If chocolate is not melted all the way, microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
Step4
Add the corn syrup and blend.
Step5
Pour the mixture onto waxed paper.
Step6
Spread the chocolate with your fingers over the wax paper until it's about 1/2 inch thick.
Step7
Cover loosely with waxed paper. Allow it to stiffen for at least 3 hours.
Step8
Mold into different shapes and enjoy!
