Microsoft Word lets you create custom shipping labels. These labels can be used for whatever suits your needs, but their format might need some tweaking before they'll work for your project.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open Microsoft Word.

  2. Step 2

Select "Letters and Mailings" from the tool bar once your new document opens. Then choose "Envelopes and Labels" and click on the "Labels" tab.

  3. Step 3

Click on "Options" and choose the style of label you are printing. Click "OK."

  4. Step 4

Type your label's text in the "Address" box. Select either "Full Page of the Same Label" or "Single Label." Then highlight the text you want to format.

  5. Step 5

Format your label's text by right-clicking on the highlighted selection. When the shortcut menu appears, click on "Font."

  6. Step 6

Choose the style of font you want your text to be, whether you want the text to be bold or italicized and what size it should be. You can also change the text's color and add effects in this menu. Your label's preview appears in the window at the bottom of the menu box.

  7. Step 7

Condense or add spacing to your text by clicking the "Character Spacing" tab at the top of the menu box. Choose "Normal," "Expanded" or "Condensed" and adjust the point setting.

  8. Step 8

Reposition your text by selecting "Normal," "Raised" or "Lowered" in the "Character Spacing" menu. Adjust the point setting if you are raising or lowering your text. Click "Print" when you are finished formatting.
