Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Whole pickles of your choice
  • Luncheon meat or left over sliced roast beef (your choice)
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Knife
  • Paper towels
  • Plate or tray
  1. Step 1

Remove the whole pickles from the jar and dry the extra juice off the pickles with a paper towel.

  2. Step 2

Lay a slice of luncheon meat or left over roast beef out on your work area.

  3. Step 3

Spread a thin layer of softened cream cheese on the meat.

  4. Step 4

Put the whole pickle on top of the cream cheese. If the meat is longer than the pickle, place the pickle on one end and roll it like a jellyroll.

  5. Step 5

Roll, or wrap, the meat around the pickle.

  6. Step 6

Chill the entire roll up for approximately one hour.

  7. Step 7

Slice the wrapped pickles into wheels and arrange the pickle roll ups on your platter.

Tips & Warnings
  • Excellent meat choices include ham, pastrami, turkey, chicken, roast beef bologna or salami. However, don't feel limited, use your favorite meat.
  • If the meat slices are very large, cut them smaller or use two pickles per slice.
  • Make delicious pickle roll ups with only cream cheese if preferred.
  • Spread the cream cheese carefully being careful not to make holes in the meat. If you accidentally make holes in the meat, simply use a second slice of meat over the entire pickle wrap.
  • If you prefer an alternate method, use your hands to encase the pickle in the cream cheese and then place it on the slice of meat.
