How to Decorate a Bedroom With a Rock 'n Roll Theme

Let your son or daughter live the rock and roll lifestyle in a bedroom decorated with a cool music theme. It's easy to create a harmonious living space with eye-catching colors, furniture and custom décor that evoke favorite musical memories.

Instructions

1. Decide what furniture and decorative items you'll be able to keep or refurbish. Once you've decided on a color scheme for your rock and roll room, you can stain or paint nightstands, dressers and bookshelves and alter chairs with slipcovers to match.

2. Choose a new wall color. Consider a neutral shade that you can cover with posters and other artwork. Although black walls might give your room the hardcore rock feel, you may get tired of the shade after a few months.

3. Select bedding to fit the rock theme. This is an area where you can add bold colors since you can change the bedspread, sheets or pillow shams easily. Try black, red, purple or black-and-white checks.
